REMODELER AWARDS
Following are the awards available to our remodeler members along with the judging criteria for each.
Please note: To submit entries for these awards, your company must have done the installation work. If your company did the design, please submit under the Design category.
The submission form for these awards will require providing "before" and "after" photos.
1. Best Basement Remodel
- Judging Criteria: Creative approach, aesthetic and market appeal and functional value.
2. Best Aging-in-Place Remodel
- Judging Criteria: Creative approach, aesthetic appeal, and functional value.
3. Best Powder Bath Remodel (NEW in 2023!)
- Judging Criteria: Creative approach, aesthetic and market appeal, sensitivity to the existing structure, use of existing elements and functional value.
4. Best Primary Bath Remodel (Third price point added for 2023!)
Three categories based on price point:
Under $50,000; $50,000-$99,999; $100,000+
- Judging Criteria: Creative approach, aesthetic and market appeal, sensitivity to the existing structure, use of existing elements and functional value.
5. Best Utility or Special Use Space
- Judging Criteria: Creative approach, aesthetic appeal, perceived value, marketability, and functional value.
- Examples: laundry room, mudroom, wine cellar, play room, coffee bar, home gym
6. Best Kitchen Remodel (Third price point added for 2023!)
Three categories based on price point:
Under $75,000; $75,000-$124,999; $125,000+
- Judging Criteria: Creative approach, aesthetic and market appeal, sensitivity to the existing structure, use of existing elements, and functional value.
7. Best Historical Remodel
- Judging Criteria: Complimentary to the existing structure, use of historic details, sensitivity to the time period of the structure and complexity of the renovation/restoration.
8. Best Overall Remodel
- Judging Criteria: Overall conceptual plan, interior layouts, sensitivity to existing structures, sensitivity to the existing structure and incorporation of client needs.
